Laurie Aker, the founder of Thistlebend Ministries, is an author, speaker, and teacher. She has a passion to teach God’s word to call and equip women to become an effective vessel of His glory. She has been extensively studying and teaching the Bible for 20 years and during the past five years has been writing, teaching, filming and publishing her own Bible study curriculum. Over the years, Laurie has counseled many women and served in various leadership positions in women’s ministries, the most recent at Southeast Christian Church. After many years of teaching in a church setting, Laurie was led to establish an outreach ministry dedicated to the development and publishing of Bible curriculum for women in all walks of life.
